Group Tours and School/Youth Field Trips-

Guided group tours and school field trips offer educational experiences covering over a century of military aviation. Tours are ideal for schools, clubs, business groups and adult explorers of all types!

Tours-

Take approximately one hour and begins within our gallery which covers general WWII topics as well as a changing display throughout the year. From here you will be escorted through our WWII hangar as well as our maintenance and restoration hangar.  A deeper look will take you through our South Pacific Officers club with examples of how a mission would have been carried out.

Education Outreach Activities and Lesson Programming-

Takes approximately two hours and requires additional details. 

 

Due to scheduling we do require a two-week lead time for all group tours. Unless making a reservation for a school group, pre-payment may be required prior to tour confirmation.

Group Tours – Important Information

• Times: Group tours are normally scheduled within regular museum hours which are Thursday and Saturday, 9a to 3p, unless special arrangements are requested and approved by the museum tour coordinator.

• Group size: Guided group tours require a six-person minimum. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 20 – each having their own experienced docent as a guide. Groups greater than 20 require prior notice to ensure docent staffing.  Groups greater than 60 will be broken up into smaller groups of 20.  Groups greater than 60 will require staggered tour times as to ensure a quality experience.

• Group admission price: $10 per adult. School and youth group student/youth admission is $5 per person, chaperones and educators are at the adult rate of $10 per person. Group admission is paid at the front desk on the day of the tour.

• Student/Youth Supervision: One Adult is required per 10 students

 

Sorry, we do not offer guided school/field trip programs for child groups age 5 and under. The adult to child ratio for preschool age children is one adult per two preschoolers.
